This fifth hull form the Darwin Class 102, “Archipelago” differs from the preceding models in the decor of the interiors, for which the owner’s wife and expert in design and interior decoration has contributed effectively working closely with the Interior Design Department of the Cantiere delle Marche.
“We’re very proud of launching the fifth Darwin Class 102’ confirming that there’s is no other more successful explorer vessel model between 90 and 100 feet in the whole market” said Vasco Buonpensiere , co-founder and Sales and Marketing Director of CdM. “ This build has been another amazing example of the incredible flexibility of this shipyard: the last four months of the build have been personally followed step by step by our General Manager Bruno Piantini who has led the project teams on both sides; owner and yard with unbelievable energy and capacity”.
This example of flexibility is given from the entirely personalised interiors carried out on “Archipelago” designed by Francesco Guida and finalised by the owner’s wife who with Filippo Bevilacqua from the yard’s Interior Design Department chose the material from fine materials to furniture comprising table lamps, chandeliers and more.

The interiors drawn up by Guida are large and functional, characterized by relaxing colours which recall nature’s. The distribution of each area inside and out enhances continuity between one and the other areas with greater attention dedicated to day lounges.
The main saloon which is decidedly bright with natural light and sophisticated decor is open plan with no division between the dining area and the living room area. This latest is furnished with twin sofas initialled by Cappellini with material by Dedar, oak flooring and a custom luxury carpet while coffee tables, table lamps and free standing ones were selected by the owner’s wife. The first area envisages a large table which has been developed following the owner’s wife’s idea which is made up in sandwich with two glass transparent sheets which entrap a third purposely crumbled glass sheet, chairs by Executive di Saarinen with pink velvet haberdashery and an asymmetric chandelier by Atelier Areti.
A second less informal drawing room is situated on the upper deck where there’s a welcoming elegant sofa sporting white bouclé fabric by Nobilis enriched with diversely coloured cushions by Maestro Raphael. The same dedicated care in the exterior’s day time spots has been extended to them as well. The upper deck hosts a stern terrace where there’s a discreet convivial dining area furnished with a large teak table and SeaX di Dedon armchairs and a bow area which when the William Dieseljet D565 tender has been launched can be furnished with Sundeck Collection accessories by Summit sun beds.
The sundeck is obviously the highest deck when compared to the others. “Archipelago’s”is divided in two separate sectors, one is in the bows and is sheltered by an opening/closing hard top under which there are two identical sofas with matching folding teak coffee tables served by a bar equipped with a refrigerator, ice maker and barbecue. The stern sector is for the enjoyment of tan fans , it is equipped with an ample sun bathing area and a Jacuzzi pool. Maria Flora materials for external use are liberally deployed on sun pads and beds.
The night quarters consist of five cabins. The owner’s is in the bow section along the main deck the decor of which is in line with the rest of the deck equipped with soft shaped furniture, carpeting by Luxury carpet and Nobilis material. The owner’s suite contains a bathroom divided into three sections. The middle section sports two basins with the bedroom ensuite or is separated by sliding doors, while the other two host a shower unit and a wc. Both of these are embellished with Travertino marble.
The other four guest cabins, two doubles and two twins are situated along the lower deck and differ from the owner’s since they are lined with Grey Stone rather than Travertino. Forward of this deck’s section there’s also the area reserved for the crew with two cabins, a bathroom, and dedicated mess room while the captain’s cabin is placed on the upper deck adjacent to the modern bridge and helm controls station equipped with Furuno technology.
The engine room hosts twin Caterpillar C18 Acert 500 KW engines which propel this dislocating yacht to a top speed of 13 knots with a range of more than 4,700 nautical miles when cruising at 9.5 knots. The service tender when stowed along the forward section of the same deck makes room in the stern in which to place water toys and every sort of sports gear.
