Silverline Open Sports Edition is the new series of sporty tenders by German yard Meyer designed for a demanding clientele. They are elegantly designed with much care given to detail and finishing touches. They’re equipped with all that is required to spend a day on board without having to move the mother ship.
The first model of the line will go to an 82 metre yacht, it is essentially a runabout which successfully manages to blend timeless fascinating design with the liveability of bow-riders. The stern section recalls the former and features plenty of sun pads for several guests while the bow section clearly takes after bow rider models with the forward section decked out as ‘living’ outdoor area with access from a central cut out slot in the spray/wind screen. Amidships there’s the helm controls station with a small sofa and two swivelling seats so as to keep a watchful eye out when there’s a water skier being towed behind.
The Silverline Series is work of the in house design team with input from a talented young designer : Hamid Bekradi from HBD Studios. The range of tenders starts at 8 metres and extends to 9.5 but the yard is flexible on this point which means there is ample space for Meyer to envisage a limo tender open version or a D-RIB.
